Country Overview
Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the more stable and prosperous nations in Central America. It is also one of the most bio diverse countries in the world. While much of the economy has relied on agriculture, Costa Rica has seen growth in the technology and tourism sectors in recent years.

Like many places in the world, the Costa Rican church is largely characterized by a lack of discipleship, legalism, and a lack of resources and training for pastors. Training Costa Rican pastors in the Training National Trainers program will help ground them and their churches in the Scriptures, encourage true gospel understanding, and encourage a much-needed Word-driven discipleship approach.

Training Opportunity

One of our two training groups will meet in San Jose and feature pastors from all over Costa Rica who help make up the Central American Churches. The first training session for this group was in August 2016.

The second group of pastors and church leaders will take place in Puntarenas, and will start the Training National Trainers program early next year.

Prayer Requests

  • Pray for the financing of training in Costa Rica.
  • Pray for the leaders who came to the pre-TNT event in both San Jose and Puntarenas to encourage many other pastors to sign up for the TNT program.
  • Pray for God to develop a vision in faithful Costa Rican pastors to reach all of Latin America with our training in exposition.
