Contest: Win 5 Resources for Gospel Growth

New Life

matthias-media-logo1Leadership Resources International has a new ministry partner: Matthias Media.

Matthias Media is a publishing ministry who knows that the world doesn’t need more Christian publishers, but rather resources that fuel, promote and support gospel growth.

LRI works to train pastors in the US (through Fellowship of the Word) and abroad to preach the Word of God with the heart of God.

T4G2014Together, we share the common goal of nurturing an expositional mindset that transforms everything.

We desire to equip pastors and their congregations to speak the Word of God by the Spirit of God in a way that brings spiritual life.

That is what gospel growth is all about.

In honor of this partnership and our participation at the 2014 Together for the Gospel Conference, we would like to give away some of the best resources from Matthias Media.

This contest will give away the following books and resources:

One-to-One Bible Reading by David Helm

Can you think of people in your life that you would like to see progress spiritually—perhaps a non-Christian colleague, or a Christian friend at church, or a family member? Here’s a way to help them understand more of God in a way that is simple and personal, and that doesn’t rely on getting them to a church program or event. All this is possible through one-to-one Bible reading.

Saving Eutychus: How to Preach God’s Word and Keep People Awake by Gary Millar and Phil Campbell

Two preachers look at the practical issues of getting to the heart of the biblical text, controlling content so you say what you mean to say, and delivering sermons in a way that keeps people awake.”

“Many books on preaching are published every year; this one is a ‘must’.” – D.A. Carson

Book-Review-Cover-The-Trellis-and-the-Vine-Colin-Marshall-Tony-PayneThe Trellis and the Vine by Tony Payne and Colin Marshall

All Christian ministry is a mixture of trellis and vine. There is vine work: the prayerful preaching and teaching of the word of God to see people converted and grow to maturity as disciples of Christ. Vine work is the Great Commission. And there is trellis work: creating and maintaining the physical and organizational structures and programs that support vine work and its growth.

In The Trellis and the Vine, Colin Marshall and Tony Payne dig back into the Bible’s view of Christian ministry, and argue that a major mind-shift is required if we are to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ, and see the vine flourish again.

The Course of Your Life Pack

The Course of Your Life is essentially a framework to help you apply the word of God to people’s lives prayerfully and intensively. The subtitle is ‘a personal revolution’, and that’s what the course seeks to do—to revolutionize hearts and minds by focusing on the central and profound issues of who God is, what he has done in Christ, what his extraordinary plans are for the world and for us, and how that generates a whole new agenda for the course of our lives: to be a disciple-making disciple of Jesus.

Six Steps to Loving Your Church Pack

Some of us really love our churches, some of us aren’t so positive, and for many of us that feeling can change from week to week.

This six-session program is about how to love your church whether you’re feeling enthusiastic about it or not. It’s about the mindset we take with us as we go to church each week, and how that mindset is expressed in a multitude of ways, big and small. In particular, it’s about the part that we all play as God’s people in loving, serving and building each other up, Sunday by Sunday. We all have a ministry—the ministry of the pew.
