In light of the COVID-19 health crisis, here are several key action steps Leadership Resources has taken:

Travel and Training

On Wednesday, March 18th, LRI officially postponed all international travel as well as all training groups, both domestic and international, until April 30. This step was initially taken voluntarily to safeguard the wellbeing of our staff and the pastors and churches we serve. However, since then, travel restrictions abroad and “Stay at Home” orders issued here in some states made this mandatory.  We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess the possibility of travel and training as information becomes available.

Office “Closure” and Working from Home

In order to comply with the state of Illinois’ ongoing “Stay at Home” order, we have closed our office building until April 30th.

However, thanks to technology that God has given us and our tech team has put in place, our office staff can continue working from home. Phone calls to the office are being automatically rerouted to some of our office staff working remotely.

The rest of our field staff are also able to work from home quite effectively. This non-travel time will enable us to connect with many of you as well as with one another to plan and pray. Meanwhile, the partners we have equipped will continue training pastors around the globe, as local conditions permit (2 Timothy 2:2 in action!).

COVID-19 Task Force

In an effort to manage our organizational response to and mitigate the effects of the ongoing crisis, we have created a dedicated task force to serve staff and leadership by:

  1. Monitoring the daily change of information/recommendations from local and global health experts and government officials
  2. Synthesizing all significant changes of information, providing regular reports to senior leadership and staff
  3. Recommending action steps to senior leadership as to LRI’s ongoing response to the global crisis
  4. Resourcing all staff with information and resources

The COVID-19 Task Force will remain focused on these responsibilities and the wellbeing of our staff until this crisis ends and the world returns to something reflecting normalcy.

Updates Posted to Our Website

Due to the dynamic nature of this situation, this webpage will have the most current information about our response and the steps we are taking, not only to protect our partners, but also to continue faithfully carrying out the ministry God has entrusted to us.

In the midst of the current crisis, we can trust our powerful and providential God, Immanuel: God with us. May that be your experience in these days!
