In light of the COVID-19 health crisis, here are several key action steps Leadership Resources has taken:

Travel

Due to several emerging trends involved in the infection and recovery rates of COVID-19, LRI has extended the postponement of domestic and international travel until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess the possibility of travel and training as information becomes available.

Working from Our Office and from Home

In compliance with the “Restore Illinois” plan, our home office will be open beginning June 10 to essential staff on Mondays–Fridays and open to all staff on Tuesdays–Thursdays with workspace restrictions in place. Because of those restrictions, we are only able to receive visitors at the office by appointment.

At the same time, thanks to technology that God has given us, any of our staff who would prefer to can continue working remotely from home.

The rest of our field staff are also able to work from home quite effectively. This non-travel time has been enabling us to connect with many of you as well as with one another to plan and pray. Meanwhile, the partners we have equipped will continue training pastors around the globe, whether in person or through technology, as local conditions permit (2 Timothy 2:2 in action!).

COVID-19 Task Force

In an effort to manage our organizational response to and mitigate the effects of the ongoing crisis, we have created a dedicated task force to serve staff and leadership by:

  1. Monitoring the daily change of information/recommendations from local and global health experts and government officials
  2. Synthesizing all significant changes of information, providing regular reports to senior leadership and staff
  3. Recommending action steps to senior leadership as to LRI’s ongoing response to the global crisis
  4. Resourcing all staff with information and resources

The COVID-19 Task Force will remain focused on these responsibilities and the wellbeing of our staff until this crisis ends and the world returns to something reflecting normalcy.

Updates Posted to Our Website

Due to the dynamic nature of this situation, this webpage will have the most current information about our response and the steps we are taking, not only to protect our partners, but also to continue faithfully carrying out the ministry God has entrusted to us.

In the midst of the current crisis, we can trust our powerful and providential God, Immanuel: God with us. May that be your experience in these days!
