I. Purpose of Our Conferences

Our great joy is providing Bible conferences for local churches, pastors and mission organizations. We love to bring the encouragement of the Scriptures to God's people and have been privileged to do this for more than 25 years. If your desire is to bring the highest quality ministry available to your church and teaching that will expand your people's view of God, enable them to see themselves through His eyes and transform their attitudes toward one another, it will be our honor to partner with you and your church.

II. Local Church Conferences (top)

A. Possible Schedule Format
We adjust our ministry to the format most effective for your church. We generally need four teaching sessions about one hour each, along with time for breaks and announcements. Our most popular teaching formats are:

• Friday evening and Saturday morning
• Saturday morning and afternoon
• Sunday only, 1st session during sermon time

*A note worth considering: when you schedule one of Bill's conferences on the Sunday or Sunday/Monday schedule, Bill would be available to teach the conference on God's Protection from Burnout to your area pastors on that Monday as a gift of encouragement from our ministry to them.

B. Conference Finances
We ask that your church cover all or part of the travel expenses (we generally schedule two conferences on a given weekend). In addition, there is a registration fee of $15 per person, $25 per couple or $40 per family. This covers the publicity materials that we prepare for you and the conference books for those who attend. We also ask that an offering plate be placed in the back of the meeting room for gifts toward one of our future ministry projects to pastors, church leaders or missionaries overseas.

1. Bill Mills' Conferences
Bill MillsBill Mills is one of the founders of Leadership Resources International. His ministry began in youth work where God gave Him a heart for encouraging young people by teaching them the Bible. That same vision has remained through the development of our church conferences, pastoral training and work with missions. Bill's passion is still to bring the encouragement of the Scriptures to God's people in order to equip them for ministry, and God has graciously allowed him to fulfill that passion through many hundreds of conferences throughout the world. Bill studied at North Park College, Northern Baptist Seminary, Luther Rice Seminary and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Two of Bill's great joys are sharing this work with his life partner, Karen, and fishing with his two sons Peter and Joel.

Building Spiritual Men - Download PDF
A study of the book of Nehemiah--as the brothers of Judah were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, God was rebuilding their lives, and then He rebuilt His people.

Deepening Relationships with One Another - Download PDF
Here we contrast the growing individualism of our culture with the "one another" mindset of the Church. The major theme is our relationships and the glory of the Church, how God is revealing Himself to the world and the angels through our love and unity.

Developing a Heart for Ministry - Download PDF
In this study of the prophets and 2 Corinthians, we look at the process in which God "makes us adequate as His servants in the New Covenant."

God's Protection from Burnout - Download PDF
This is a look at ten men in the Scriptures who battled with "Burnout" and what we learn from them about God's keeping grace in our lives-how God's presence with us in the ministry enables us to "finish well."

Prayer and Revival - Download PDF
In this study of the "Lord's Prayer," we focus on intimacy and communion with the Lord, and the power of spiritual warfare and intercession that our Father uses to bring an environment for revival among His people.

Preparing to Meet the Bridegroom - Download PDF
This study of the third chapter of 2 Peter focuses on the central issues of our hearts and our churches being prepared for our Lord's soon return: holiness, missions, evangelism, endurance in suffering and how to "encourage one another all the more as the day draws near."

Recapturing Family Intimacy - Download PDF
God raised up our marriages and families as vessels for His life in order to fill the earth with His glory. How have the relentless attacks of our enemy and the effects of the fall affected our most intimate relationships? How does God bring His redemption to us, which enables us to respond to one another with His heart and experience intimacy and joy once again?

Spiritual Transformation - Download PDF
In this study of the Beatitudes, we look at the way of life that Jesus gave His disciples and the process in which God develops in us the character qualities of His Son. This is the heart of discipleship and the foundational teaching for Kingdom living.

Stirring our Passion for God - Download PDF
The development of a passion filled relationship with our Lord is the focus of this study of 1 Timothy 6. How do we leave behind the things that have chained us to our past and pursue God with all that is within us?

2. Craig Parro's Conferences:
Craig Parro
Since joining Leadership Resources in 1989, Craig has directed its international ministry. A graduate of TEDS (M.A. Mission), Craig oversees an international staff of ten families. He is a stimulating teacher and has equipped and encouraged pastors and churches throughout the U.S., Latin America and Asia. Craig also serves on the Board of Directors of
TOPIC (Trainers of Pastors International Coalition), an association of pastoral training organizations focused on accelerating pastoral training worldwide. Craig authored articles appearing in several magazines. His first book, Unlikely Warriors, was published in 1992. He is also co-author of Finishing Well in Life and Ministry and God's Protection from Burnout.

How to Study the Bible -

These are workshops on inductive Bible study methods. Think of an all-church workshop or a one-day Saturday workshop for your teachers and leaders. This may be the best ministry we make available to local churches!

Invading the Darkness - Download PDF
Missions, evangelism and spiritual warfare--how we fit into God's eternal plan to reclaim the world for Himself and fill this earth with His glory.

Proclaiming Christ in Our Post-Christian Age - Download PDF
What is the mindset of America at the beginning of the 21st century? How can we communicate the gospel in a relevant way? A study of Acts 17 and Genesis 25-33.

When God Disappoints Us - Download PDF
Habakkuk experienced profound disappointment with God. The Lord tenderly brought him to a deeper understanding of His eternal purposes, enabling him to declare "the sovereign Lord is my strength!"

3. Marnie Carlson's Conferences:
Marnie Carlson
For most of her life, Marnie has lived near Chicago where she enjoyed a close relationship with Leadership Resources International since its early days. She has taught and mentored women for twenty years and is presently a women's conference teacher and author of The Path of Joy. Marnie's verse-by-verse teaching helps women grasp the richness of God's Word and practically apply it to their lives in fresh ways. As one woman said, "She has a perfect blend of teaching tools-Scripture, illustrations, applications, warnings, and personalizations all mixed with sincerity." Marnie and her husband Dean are the parents of two grown children, Aaron and Whitney.

The Path of Joy - A women's conference- Download PDF
Each of us longs to experience joy, but we often depend on our changing circumstances to fulfill us. The path of true joy is found in the Lord Jesus who never changes. He said, "That My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full" (John 15:11). Discover how to depend more fully on Jesus and know the reality of His joy.

From Fear to Faith - A women's conference- Download PDF
Many women are held captive in the prison of fear. Yet Jesus came "to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners" (Isaiah 61:1). Be refreshed and encouraged as you discover how to practically experience true freedom in Christ that empowers you to move from fear to become the women of faith you long to be.

Single Session Talks - Download PDF
In addition to teaching conferences, Marnie is also available to teach single sessions for brunches or dinners.

**Note: The arrangements for Marnie's conference are different than for our other conferences. Contact us for a packet of detailed information.

4. Todd Kelly's Conference:
Todd Kelly
Todd is the newest member of our teaching staff. He joined our team on November 1, 2002. He was born into a pastor's home and grew up in the greater Detroit area. Early on, he set his sights on a career in classical music. In time, however, God changed his heart and gave him a greater desire for pastoral ministry. He received formal training from Moody Bible Institute, University of Michigan and Westminster Theological Seminary, and was mentored by his father throughout. He has served churches in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Illinois, and presently resides in Wheaton with his wife, Sue, and their three children, Mahrena, Victoria and Sergei.

Speaking By Listening
This is a course designed to build skill and confidence in the teacher of God's Word. In order to be better proclaimers of the Bible, we must first become better listeners. This conference will help you train your Sunday school teachers, small group and cell church leaders, as well as your youth workers, in their various ministries of teaching the Scriptures.

5. Bill Molinari's Conference:
Bill Molinari
After spending over 20 years in the business world and being an active board member at LRI, Bill became our Executive Director in March of 2003. Prior to LRI, Bill was President of VanKampen Funds for many years and served on a number of business boards, including the Investment Company Institute and the College for Financial Planning. Bill has a heart for missions and the local church and serves, or has served, on the boards of the Slavic Gospel Association, Grace to You, Pioneers, APOYO, and the Fox Valley Bible Church. In his current capacity, he manages the day-to-day operations of Leadership Resources International.

The Heart of a Leader
This is a conference for church boards, leaders and teachers. Bill looks at the character qualities of a leader, how God develops those qualities in our lives and how they are lived out among one another and transferred from generation to generation.

Friday evening and Saturday morning
Saturday morning and afternoon
Monday and/or Tuesday

B. Conference Finances
We will ask that your district cover all or part of the travel expenses (at times we are able to schedule another event before or after the time with your district). For the registration we ask that you provide an honorarium, and we will provide each person or couple a conference book as a gift from our ministry.

IV. Bible Conferences for Missionaries and Mission Organizations: (top)

One of our great joys in the ministry is encouraging missionaries. Several times each year our staff goes to mission centers here in the U.S. and around the world to bring "the encouragement of the Scriptures" to these faithful servants. These are some of the titles you might consider for your next conference (see a description of the following in the local church section):

God's Protection from Burnout
Developing a Heart for Ministry
When God Disappoints Us
